Born in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture.

Graduated from Kokura High School.
1974
Leaves the School of Letters, Arts and Sciences, Waseda University to learn the basics of Japanese dyeing and weaving through independent study and coursework. Additional studies in tsumugi-ori (pongee fabrics) and kimono fabrication in Kumejima (Okinawa), the Shinshu district, and elsewhere.
1978
Awarded the Nihon Kogeikai Prize at the West Japan Arts and Crafts Exhibition, followed by regular participation and recognition.
1984
Revives the dormant Kokura-ori tradition.
1985
"Ren"Kokura striped cotton obi sash was awarded the prize at the Japan Traditional Art Crafts Exhibition, followed by regular participation and recognition
1992
Awarded the prize at the Exhibition of Japanese Traditional Textile Arts and Crafts, followed by regular participation and recognition.
1994
Revives the dormant Kokura-chijimi tradition.
1995
Establishes the Yuh Textile Studio.
Receives Kitakyushu Cultural Incentive Award.
1996
Selected as trainee for two-year course for successors to the "
Ra" artisanal tradition by recognized contributor to the cultural heritage, Takeshi Kitamura (designated a "Living National Treasure").
Noriko Tsuiki Textile Exhibition takes place at Kitakyushu Municipal Museum of Art.

by Takeshi Kitamura and Usuhata group"was shown at the Daiwa Foundation Japan House, London, U.K. as part of the
Usuhata-no-kai exhibit in London.
"Noriko Tsuiki's shima-no-neiro (striped tones) & Ima (now): Kokura-style fabrics" were exhibited at the Kokura Izutsuya Department Store (Pastel Hall).
Received the 2005 Kitakyushu Citizen's Culture Award.
Received the Prize for Excellence at the 25th Pola Traditional Japanese Culture Awards.
2007
Stayed 80 days in London as part of a delegation of artists sponsored by the Agency for Cultural Affairs.
2008
Awarded the Excellence Award of Commissioner for Cultural Affairs at the 42th Japan Traditional Textile Arts Exhibition.
"Noriko Tsuiki's Textile Works" was exhibited at Sakaimachi Gallery in Kyoto.
2009

Awarded the Asahi Shimbun (Newspaper) Grand Prize at the 45th West Japan Traditional Arts and Crafts Exhibition.
